A straight bourbon from Virginia, named after the A-10 Thunderbolt II military aircraft. It is bottled at 50% ABV, or 100 proof, and as a bourbon it is aged in new charred American oak barrels.
The nose brings caramel corn, toasted oak, baking spice and a little dried fruit. On the palate, brown sugar and vanilla give way to black pepper and cinnamon bark, with charred wood and a hint of dark chocolate. The finish is medium to long and warm, with caramel, toasted grain and a dry oak grip.
