Wolfburn – Aurora Sherry Oak Single Malt Scotch

A Scotch single malt from Wolfburn, matured in sherry oak and bottled as Aurora. The distillery stands in Thurso, the most northerly town on the British mainland, overlooking the Pentland Firth. Wolfburn was revived after its founders went looking for the lost original distillery in May 2011. They found only a pile of stones, but the cold, clear water that once fed the mash tun and stills was still flowing. The distillery manager, Iain Kerr, previously worked at Balmenach, Allt a Bhainne and Glenlivet.
