Wolfburn Batch 318 is a Highland single malt from Wolfburn Distillery in Thurso, bottled in 2021 at 46% in a 750ml bottle. It is the distillery's sixth Small Batch Release, with 4,800 bottles filled.
The lightly peated spirit was matured for about seven years in first-fill Oloroso sherry butts and first-fill bourbon barrels.
The nose is led by sherry, with dried figs, sultana and toasted oak, then vanilla and a wisp of peat. The palate is rich, with dark fruit, malt, gentle smoke and nutty oak. The finish is long and drying, with sherry spice.
