Wolfburn – Gebo Kylver Series 7th Edition (70cl, 50%)

This is the seventh release in the Wolfburn Kylver Series, a single malt from Wolfburn Distillery in Thurso, Caithness. The Gebo edition draws on Viking runes and the history of Caithness. It was matured in Oloroso sherry butts and bottled at 50% ABV, non-chill filtered, in a 70cl bottle. The run is limited to 990 bottles. Distilling at Wolfburn began in January 2013, on a site chosen to honour the original distillery of 1821. The notes describe layers of dark fruit and toasted oak with subtle hints of spice and a smooth, lingering finish.
