Wolfburn Northland is a single malt in a 70cl bottle at 46%. Wolfburn was the first distillery to make whisky in Caithness since the original Wolfburn distillery closed in the 19th century, and it is the most northerly distillery on mainland Scotland.
The nose is sweet, with fruit and fresh sea air, and citrus, cereal and a touch of smoke behind. The palate brings sweet nutty tones, grapes and honey, floral flavours and a hint of coffee and dark chocolate. It finishes rounded, coating the palate and leaving a trace of peat.
