This is a 14 year old blended Scotch from Wolfcraig, made by master blenders Richard Paterson and Ian MacMillan from malt and grain whisky in equal parts.
It was matured in fresh bourbon barrels, then finished for a further three years in Amontillado, Pedro Ximénez and Muscatel sherry casks. Bottled at 46.1% with natural colour and without chill filtration, it was released in a run of 4,401 bottles worldwide.
The nose brings raisins, peaches, tangerine and lemongrass over caramel and vanilla. On the palate come figs, sultanas, demerara sugar and molasses, and the finish carries glazed tangerine, marzipan, ginger and nutmeg.
