Wolves Whiskey Winter Run American Whiskey Batch 3 (75cl, 53%)

Winter Run Batch 3 is a California American whiskey from Wolves, bottled at 53% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It is the third release in the series and was limited to 1,499 bottles. It blends three beer-distilled whiskeys with a rye: a 2017 pilsner aged in French oak, a 2015 pilsner aged in American oak, a 2013 stout aged in French oak, and a 2015 rye. Marko Karakasevic of Charbay Distillery distilled it on a copper alambic charentais pot still, and the bottle is wrapped by hand in sheepskin. The nose offers cinnamon apples, honey, orange, black cherry and dark chocolate. On the palate come hops and molasses, then baking spices, citrus and milk chocolate, ending in a medium-warm finish of spice and stone fruit.
