Woodford Reserve – Baccarat Edition (75cl, 45.2%)

This is a Kentucky straight bourbon from Woodford Reserve, bottled at 45.2% ABV in a 750ml bottle and presented in a Baccarat crystal decanter. It is fully matured, then finished in XO Cognac barrels that had held cognac for three seasons. Master Distiller Chris Morris sourced the barrels. The decanter is modelled on the Woodford Reserve bottle, engraved with the logos of both houses, and has a crystal stopper. It comes in Baccarat's signature red box. The producer's notes describe toasted oak, chocolate, vanilla bean, clove and cinnamon on the nose. The palate offers vanilla, dark chocolate, dried fruit and creamy caramel over malt and oak, and the finish is velvety with a spiced caramel-mocha note.
