This is the 2025 release of Woodford Reserve Barrel Strength Rye, a Kentucky rye made to the producer's pre-Prohibition-style recipe with 53% rye. It was released in October 2025 and has no assigned age.
A collective batch of barrels is bottled at 125.1 proof, or 62.55% ABV, in a 70cl bottle.
The nose combines pepper, clove, nutmeg, toasted oak, vanilla bean and orange oils. The palate is juicy orange and baking spice with leather and tobacco, and the finish is long, with citrus and unsweetened tea.
