Woodford Reserve is a Kentucky straight bourbon bottled at 45.2% ABV in a 375ml bottle, with no age statement. It comes from the Woodford Reserve Distillery in Versailles, Kentucky, once known as Labrot & Graham.
The mashbill is 72% corn, 18% rye and 10% malted barley. Pot still distillate, triple distilled at Woodford County, is mingled with column still distillate that is double distilled at the Brown-Forman Distillery in Shively.
Dried fruit, mint and cocoa-dusted orange lead the nose. The palate brings butterscotch, vanilla, cinnamon, mocha and char-grilled sweetcorn, and the finish is long, with spiced corn and oaky butterscotch.
