Woodford Reserve Derby Edition is a single barrel bourbon bottled at 110 proof, which is 55% ABV. It was made at the Woodford Reserve Distillery in Kentucky and is a limited release for the Kentucky Derby.
The bottle carries a deep-etched racetrack illustration inspired by Churchill Downs, which gives the edition its own look.
The nose is rich vanilla with dried fruit, toasted oak, cocoa and spice. On the palate come caramel, dark chocolate, baking spice, roasted nuts and citrus zest. The finish is long and warming, with lingering oak and sweet spice.
