The Woodford Reserve distillery is arguably the oldest distillery in Kentucky, beginning its operation in the same site it sits in now in 1812. In 1833 a new employee began working at the distillery, Dr James Crow, also referred to as the ‘father of Bourbon Whiskey’, he began developing methods that would later lead to the legal definitions of ‘Strait Bourbon’. The Woodford Reserve distillers select is from the core range distributed today and is a handy and quality extra in any liquor cabinet for the use of mixes and cocktails.
