Woodford Reserve – Double Double Oaked Bourbon (70cl, 45.2%)

Woodford Reserve Double Double Oaked is a Kentucky bourbon bottled at 45.2% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It starts with the distillery's Double Oaked bourbon, which is then returned to a second new oak barrel, heavily toasted and lightly charred, for a further two years. The mash bill is 72% corn, 18% rye and 10% malted barley. It first appeared in 2015 as a Distillery Series release and became a national release in 2026. The nose brings maple syrup, dark butterscotch, brittle caramel, bittersweet chocolate, burnt marshmallow and hickory smoke. On the palate come dried cherry, cranberry, blackberry jam, ripe apple, chai tea and clove, followed by a warm, drying, spicy finish.
