- Second heavily toasted, lightly charred oak barrel finish
A Kentucky straight bourbon from Woodford Reserve's Distillery Series, bottled at 45.2% ABV (90.4 proof) in a 70cl bottle.
It begins as Woodford Reserve Double Oaked, then spends further time in a second, heavily toasted and lightly charred oak barrel. First launched in 2015, it is described as extra oaky, rich and complex.
The nose brings maple syrup, dark butterscotch, brittle caramel and bittersweet chocolate. On the palate come dried cherry, cranberry, blackberry jam, ripe apple, chai tea and clove, followed by a long finish with a lingering warmth.
