Woodford Reserve Double Double Oaked is a bourbon bottled at 45.2% in a 70cl bottle. It is matured twice: first in new American white oak, then in a heavily toasted, only lightly charred oak barrel.
The second maturation is extended, and it gives the bourbon an intense, layered and spicy character, with the spicy side of the whiskey brought forward by the longer time in the toasted oak.
