Woodford Reserve – Double Oaked Barrel Proof Single Barrel 'Lizzy's Finest' Selected by Sip Whiskey (75cl, 48.2%)

This is a single barrel Woodford Reserve Double Oaked Kentucky Straight Bourbon, bottled at barrel proof: 96.40 proof, or 48.2% ABV, in a 750ml bottle. It was picked by the Sip Whiskey team together with Woodford Reserve Master Distiller Elizabeth McCall, and named Lizzy's Finest. Double Oaked means the bourbon is finished in a second, deeply toasted and lightly charred oak barrel. This bottle comes undiluted from barrel number 0420. The nose brings toasted oak, warm vanilla and a drizzle of honey. On the palate there is rich caramel, baking spice and layered oak, and the finish carries honeyed sweetness, soft vanilla and lingering wood char.
