Woodford Reserve Double Oaked Bourbon Whiskey (37.5cl, 45.2%)

Woodford Reserve Double Oaked is a straight bourbon at 45.2% ABV, in a 375ml bottle. It is made at the Woodford Reserve Distillery in Versailles, Kentucky, from a mash bill of 72% corn, 18% rye and 10% malted barley, triple-distilled in copper pot stills. After full maturation, the bourbon is moved into a second new oak barrel that has been deeply toasted and lightly charred, which adds sweet oak, caramel and dark fruit. The distillery describes a nose of dark caramel, vanilla cream and toasted oak, with maple syrup, dark chocolate and dried cherry on the palate, and a long, warm finish of sweet oak and baking spice.
