Woodford Reserve Double Oaked is a Kentucky straight bourbon from the Woodford Reserve Distillery in Versailles, Kentucky. It is bottled at 45.2% ABV in a 750ml bottle.
After full maturation in new charred oak, the bourbon is moved to a second barrel that has been deeply toasted and lightly charred, which adds soft, sweet oak character to the Woodford Reserve spice.
The nose is rich with dark fruit, caramel, honey, chocolate, marzipan and toasted oak. The palate is full-bodied, with vanilla, dark caramel, hazelnut, apple and warm spices, and the finish is long and creamy with honeyed apple.
