Woodford Reserve Double Oaked is a Kentucky straight bourbon at 43.2%, in a 70cl bottle. It is distilled in copper pot stills.
After its first maturation it spends additional time in heavily toasted, lightly charred oak barrels, which adds to the sweet, soft oak character of the bourbon. It won a double gold medal at the 2023 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
The nose is described as dark fruit, caramel, honey, chocolate, marzipan and burnt oak. On the palate come vanilla, caramel, hazelnut, apple and spice, and the finish brings honey and apple.
