Woodford Reserve – Kentucky Derby 145 20th Anniversary (1L, 45.2%)

Woodford Reserve Kentucky Derby 145 is the 2019 commemorative bottle of Kentucky straight bourbon, in a 1 litre bottle at 45.2% ABV. It marks the 145th Kentucky Derby and 20 years of Woodford Reserve as the Derby's official bourbon, a partnership that began in 1999. The label shows thoroughbreds racing, painted by Louisville artist Keith Anderson, the first African-American artist to feature on the Derby bottle. Tasting notes describe a dark amber colour. The nose offers cocoa beans, orange peel, mint, pipe tobacco and fruit bread. The palate is rich, rounded and smooth, with dried citrus, cocoa and spices, and the finish is silky, long and warm.
