Woodford Reserve Malt Whiskey is a triple-distilled Kentucky malt whiskey, bottled at 45.2% in a 750ml bottle. It is made in copper pot stills at the distillery in Versailles and matures in new charred American oak barrels.
The mashbill is 51% malted barley, 47% corn and 2% rye, designed to sit between malt whiskey and bourbon while bringing the nutty, chocolatey depth of malted barley.
The nose is soft nuts, light caramel and milk chocolate with brown spice and mint. Dark chocolate, caramel-coated nuts, orchard fruit and toasted coconut mark the palate, and the long finish has chocolate malt, leather and walnut.
