Woodford Reserve Wheat is a Kentucky straight wheat whiskey, made at the Woodford Reserve Distillery in Versailles and bottled at 45.2% ABV in a 750ml bottle. The mash is 52% wheat, 20% malt, 20% corn and 8% rye.
It arrived in 2019 under master distiller Chris Morris and completed the distillery's set of straight whiskey styles: bourbon, rye, malt and wheat.
The nose is spiced cooked apple, pear and banana with cinnamon, cedar and light vanilla bean. The palate brings spicy applesauce and toasted coconut over earthy mint and cocoa nib, and the finish is dry, with subtle cocoa and lingering apple peel.
