Woodinville – Bourbon Finished in Tequila Barrels

This is a bourbon from Woodinville in Washington, finished in used Añejo tequila barrels. It is a special small-batch release made from corn, rye and malted barley, with the grains grown on the Omlin Family farm in Quincy, Washington. The bourbon was fully matured before it went into the tequila barrels, which co-founder and head distiller Brett Carlile had come across and chose to experiment with. The barrels added caramel corn, orange zest, agave syrup and vanilla bean, and the finish carries a cayenne spice.
