Woodinville – Toasted Applewood Staves (75cl)

Woodinville Toasted Applewood Staves is a bourbon from Woodinville Distillery in Washington State, finished with toasted applewood staves. It comes in a 750ml bottle. The distillery first released this style in 2017, as a 5 year old whiskey given an extra period of finishing on the staves. The applewood adds a fruity, almost cider-like element to the distillery's bourbon. Woodinville's bourbons are generally rich, with caramel, dark chocolate, vanilla bean and plenty of toasty oak on the palate. Here the finish gives a slight impression of Calvados.
