This is a 12 year old Aberlour single malt from Speyside, bottled by Woodrow's of Edinburgh for its Warehouse Reserve range, which was created by founder Woody Tan. It is bottled at a cask strength of 55.3% in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky was distilled on 10 October 2011 and matured in a single bourbon barrel until it was bottled on 8 July 2024. It has natural colour, is not chill-filtered, and the outturn is 219 bottles.
The nose offers toffee apples, vanilla custard, nutmeg and white chocolate. On the palate it is fairly creamy, with citrus zest, green apple, honey, shortbread and cinnamon. The finish is moderately spiced with white pepper and star anise.
