This is a 15 year old Glen Elgin single malt from Speyside, bottled by Woodrow's of Edinburgh in its Warehouse Reserve range at a cask strength of 61.3%. It was distilled on 29 September 2009 and bottled on 5 March 2025, in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky was finished in a first-fill Bordeaux red wine cask. It is natural colour and non-chill-filtered, and the cask yielded 241 bottles.
The nose is both earthy and fruity, with raspberries, black cherries and a fragrant floral bouquet. The palate is oily, with tannic leather, truffle and coffee balanced by tart red berries, figs and heather. The finish is medium, with tannins, cloves and liquorice.
