This 11 year old Glenrothes comes from the Warehouse Reserve range of Woodrow's of Edinburgh. It was distilled on 26 June 2014 and bottled on 16 July 2025 at a cask strength of 61.6%, in a 70cl bottle, with an outturn of 255 bottles.
It began in a refill hogshead and was then split between bloodtubs that had held Oloroso, PX and Montilla, before being vatted back together after three years. It is natural in colour and not chill-filtered.
The nose pairs strawberries and boiled sweets with miso and cigar leaf. The palate is oily and warming, with rum-soaked raisins, almonds, plums, black cherries and a savoury edge. The finish brings strawberries, black pepper and balsamic vinegar.
