A 16 year old single malt from Glentauchers in Speyside, part of the Warehouse Reserve range from Woodrow's of Edinburgh. It was distilled on 16 October 2008, matured in a single Oloroso sherry butt and bottled on 19 November 2024.
The outturn was 279 bottles at a cask strength of 63.3%, in 70cl, with natural colour and no chill filtration.
The nose offers honey cake, strawberries and pear drops with fresh mint leaves. The palate is mouth-coating, with rhubarb crumble and vanilla clotted cream, then apple, redcurrant and red summer berries, with herbaceous undertones and a hint of lemon. The finish is long and spiced, with citrus zest, star anise and white pepper.
