Woodrow's Highland Blended Malt 30 Year Old (70cl, 53.5%)

This is a 30 year old Highland blended malt from Woodrow's of Edinburgh, part of its Warehouse Reserve range created by founder Woody Tan. It combines whiskies from distilleries including Dalmore, Glenmorangie, Glenturret and Clynelish. The whisky was distilled on 20 January 1994 and bottled on 19 November 2024, after maturing in sherry casks and finishing in a first fill bourbon barrel. It is bottled at a cask strength of 53.5%, with natural colour and without chill filtration, and 252 bottles were produced. The nose offers golden syrup, oranges and raisins with an oaky muskiness. The palate is oily and silky, with citrus zest, dried fruits, white chocolate buttercream, malt cake and toasted almonds. The finish is medium, with aniseed and nutmeg.
