A 14 year old single cask Speyside blended malt, sold under the Burnside trade name and bottled by Woodrow's of Edinburgh at 52% ABV. The name is associated with teaspooned malt from the Speyside distillery next door to Glenfiddich.
The whisky was finished for three years in a first-fill ruby port hogshead. It comes from one cask, filled into 292 bottles, and is natural colour and non-chill filtered.
The tasting notes describe heather honey, ripe summer berries and milk chocolate on the nose. The palate brings raspberries, strawberry jam, orange zest, figs and toffee, and the finish is medium to long with fruity jam and soft baking spices.
