An Orkney 16 Year Old is an Island single malt from an Orkney distillery, bottled by Woodrow's of Edinburgh at a cask strength of 59.6% in a 70cl bottle. It was distilled on 18 February 2010 and bottled on 20 July 2026. The spirit matured in a refill hogshead before being re-racked into American and European oak oloroso quarter casks. It is deeply peated with a maritime character, and 280 bottles were filled. It is non-chill filtered and of natural colour. The nose offers orange zest, toffee, raspberry and dried apricot over gentle bonfire smoke. The palate is rich and oily with prunes, dates and a salty maritime edge, and the finish is long and warming as the smoke returns.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
