This Glen Elgin was distilled on 8 February 2012 and bottled on 20 July 2026 at 14 years old by Woodrow's of Edinburgh. It is a Speyside single malt from the distillery at the heart of the White Horse blend, at a cask strength of 59.2% ABV, with 307 bottles from cask 19607. It was matured in a refill hogshead, then re-racked into a first-fill ruby port barrique for an extended finish. It is non-chill filtered and of natural colour. The nose shows pear drops, black cherries and lemon zest, with raspberry jam and almond paste. On the palate are marzipan, chocolate, cherries and liquorice, with mulled wine spice. The finish is long and warming, with a dry tannic grip.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
