The Smokey One is a peated single malt from Woodrow's of Edinburgh's Jane Street Collection. It is vatted in small batches and bottled at 48.5% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The collection has three styles, each with a colour-coded label, and this one wears blue.
Gentle smoke leads, alongside a fruity, honeyed character. The nose has mild coastal smoke, ripe orchard fruit and a touch of sweet vanilla. On the palate, bright fruit and honeyed malt come with light peat smoke and delicate woody spice. The finish is soft and smoky, fading clean and sweet.
