Woodrow's Warehouse Blended Batch 1 (70cl, 50%)

This is a blended malt Scotch whisky from Woodrow's of Edinburgh, created by founder Woody Tan as Warehouse Blended, Batch 1. It is bottled at 50% ABV in a 70cl bottle, in natural colour and without chill filtration. The blend draws on four distilleries: Glen Ord at 40% from an 8 year old refill hogshead, Highland Park distillate at 30% from a 5 year old refill hogshead, tea-spooned Glen Scotia at 20% from a 6 year old first fill bourbon barrel, and Glen Elgin at 10% from a 3 year old refill hogshead. The nose is vibrant, with melon, apple, honey and glazed cherry. The palate is slightly savoury and waxy, and the finish is clean and medium, with black pepper and cloves.
