Woody Creek – High Rye 70/30 Bourbon (75cl)

Woody Creek High Rye 70/30 is a bourbon made from Colorado grain: 70% dent corn and 30% Elbon rye, mashed with Rocky Mountain water. It was distilled on the distillery's own CARL stills and aged, then bottled, on site in Basalt, Colorado, in a 75cl bottle. The bourbon spent five to seven years in new American oak, filled at a higher proof to hold on to more character. The rye gives it a spice-forward style with some extra edge. Baking spices, fruit and grass come first, mingling with sweet caramel and a touch of oak. Corn sweetness shows at the first sip and lasts against the rye spice.
