Woody Creek – William H. Macy Reserve Bottled in Bond Straight Rye 10 Year Old 3rd Edition (75cl)

This is a 10 year old bottled-in-bond straight rye whiskey from Woody Creek in Colorado, the third edition of the William H. Macy Reserve, in a 750ml bottle. The barrels were personally selected by William H. Macy, a neighbour of the distillery. It was distilled in spring 2013 from a mash bill of 80% rye and 20% malted barley. The nose has clove, cinnamon, dried yellow raisins and a hint of burnt orange. The palate is velvety, with nutty notes and baking spices. The finish is long, clean and dry, with spiced fruit and a touch of smoke.
