- Ex-Macallan Scotch whisky cask finish
This is a 12 year old straight bourbon from the World Whiskey Society, made in the USA and bottled at 45% ABV. It was aged in new charred American oak, then finished in ex-Macallan Scotch whisky casks. It is non-chill filtered and has no added colour.
It belongs to the Members Reserve series, and the bottles are individually numbered. The decanter-style bottle is topped with a pewter dragon figurine.
The nose is honeyed malt, vanilla, dried fruit and toasted spice. The palate shows caramelised oak, sherry sweetness, roasted nuts and a hint of smoke. The finish is long, with dark fruit, cocoa and lingering warmth.
