This is a 6 year old Kentucky straight bourbon from World Whiskey Society, bottled at 54% in a 750ml bottle. It is made from a mash bill of 99% corn and 1% malted barley.
The bourbon is finished in Japanese Mizunara oak casks that previously held shochu, a combination the brand describes as a world first. This Samurai Edition is limited to 2,000 bottles worldwide, each with a samurai helmet topper.
The palate is full-bodied, with deep caramel and vanilla, honeyed corn sweetness, and sandalwood and incense spice from the Mizunara. It is warming and robust, with a long, smooth finish.
