World Whiskey Society Ducks Unlimited Shotgun Shell American Single Malt Whiskey (75cl, 48%)

This is an American single malt made as a collaboration between World Whiskey Society and Ducks Unlimited, the North American wetlands and waterfowl conservation organisation. A portion of proceeds supports the organisation's conservation work. The whiskey is distilled from 100% malted barley at Scissortail Distillery in Moore, Oklahoma, and aged in new charred American oak. It is bottled at 48% in a 75cl red-fluted glass bottle shaped like a shotgun shell, set in a metal tube case inspired by a gun barrel. The nose is oak, dark fruit, cocoa and walnut, with honey and a hint of honey-nut cereal. The palate brings almond, honeycomb, roasted malt and allspice, with a rich, oily texture. The finish is honey, vanilla and cinnamon, with a little smoke.
