World Whiskey Society Reserve Collection 15 Year Old is a Kentucky straight bourbon in a 75cl bottle, drawn from a single barrel and bottled at barrel proof, 56% ABV.
The bourbon spent fifteen years in new charred American oak. Its mash bill is 78.5% corn, 13% rye and 8.5% malted barley. The World Whiskey Society curates barrels rather than distilling, and this one sits in its Reserve Collection.
The nose is deep oak, dark caramel and aged leather. On the palate come toffee, baking spice and mature wood tannin, and the finish is long, warm and drying, with lingering char and vanilla.
