Writers' Tears Copper Pot is an Irish whiskey blending single malt (40%) with pot still whiskey (60%). It is triple distilled and matured in ex-bourbon oak casks.
The nose is soft and sweet, with apple, pineapple, banana, lime and crème caramel, plus light hints of maple syrup and honey. On the palate it starts sweet and dry with pineapple, then turns salty before caramel, vanilla and milk chocolate come through.
The finish is complex and fruity, with honey and ginger.
