Yamato Honda Tadakatsu Edition Japanese Whisky (75cl, 40%)

Yamato Honda Tadakatsu Edition is a Japanese whisky aged in Mizunara oak casks, bottled at 40% ABV in a 75cl decanter. It is a limited edition in the Samurai Edition series, and the decanter is sculpted after the armour of Honda Tadakatsu, the samurai general who served Tokugawa Ieyasu. Yamato is a brand created by Aiko Importers from mature stocks at one of the largest distilleries in Yamanashi Prefecture, where this whisky was sourced. The nose has subtle maple, resin and lemon peel. The palate is soft and smooth, with cedar and chamomile, and the finish is lightly smoky with a lingering, refined sweetness.
