Yamato Takeda Shingen Edition is a blended Japanese whisky bottled at 40%, named after the Sengoku-era warlord Takeda Shingen, known as the Tiger of Kai. Its stocks come from Yamanashi, the province he once held. This limited edition is finished in mizunara oak casks. It comes in a 750ml sword-hilt bottle with armour-styled packaging. The nose combines honeyed vanilla with sandalwood, soft florals and a little incense. The palate is smooth and layered, with ripe orchard fruit, toasted almond, a suggestion of coconut and the gentlest thread of smoke. The finish is long, with sweet spice and polished wood.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
