This is the older edition of the Yamazaki 12 Year Old, a Japanese single malt bottled by the distillery at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It has no added colour and is not chill-filtered.
The character balances sweet, fruity notes with a light smokiness. The nose offers dried fruit, honey and a touch of nuttiness, with subtle oak behind them. On the palate come fine vanilla, caramelised apple and spicy hints. The finish is long and warm, leaving a trace of oak and malty sweetness.
