An 18 year old single malt from Yamazaki, aged exclusively in Mizunara oak casks. The wood gives the whisky a distinctive spiciness and aromatic character, and the colour is a reddish amber.
The nose opens with dark cherry and ripe peach, along with cinnamon and nutmeg. The palate is subtly spiced, with a depth of Japanese incense alongside fruit and wood.
The finish is long, with clove, sandalwood and a little dried coconut.
