Yamazaki 18 Year Old Mizunara is a Japanese single malt created to mark the centenary of the House of Suntory. It is bottled at 48% in a 70cl bottle.
It is made from selected malt whiskies, all aged for at least 18 years in Mizunara casks only. Mizunara oak is regarded as the signature enhancer of Yamazaki, and the Suntory blending team began experimenting with the wood in the 1940s. The whiskies are matured until they take on a distinctive Japanese spiciness and an incense-like character of sandalwood and agarwood.
