Yamazaki Distiller's Reserve is a Japanese single malt from Suntory, sold without an age statement, in a 70cl bottle. The casks are chosen for their aromatic richness.
It is a blend of whiskies from Mizunara oak casks and casks that previously held sherry or Bordeaux wine.
Its flavours are described as delicate, with strawberry and coconut alongside sweet spices such as vanilla and cinnamon, balancing fruit and spice. It won a bronze medal for best Japanese no-age-statement whisky at the World Whiskies Awards in 2019.
