Yamazaki Distiller's Reserve is a single malt from the Yamazaki Distillery in Shimamoto, Osaka, operated by Suntory. It carries no age statement and is bottled at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The current bottling was introduced in 2012.
It is made by combining several cask-matured malts, including Mizunara oak and wine-cask components. The wine-cask malt is a more recent addition to the Yamazaki style.
The whisky is generally described as floral and bright, with gentle woodiness, soft spice and a smooth texture.
