Yamazaki Limited Edition 2014 is a single malt from Suntory's Yamazaki distillery, and the first release in a limited series made for the duty free market.
It combines a 20 year old malt matured in European oak Sherry casks, a 20 year old malt matured in European oak Port casks, and a young malt matured in American white oak bourbon casks.
The nose is fresh and fruity, with oak, toffee, lemon, cocoa, vanilla, passion fruit, liquorice and almonds. The palate is oily and round, with citrus, menthol, raisins, ginger and pepper. The finish is smooth and warm, with honey, tobacco and drying oak.
