Yamazaki – Mizunara 2022 Edition Japanese Single Malt Whisky (75cl)

Yamazaki Mizunara 2022 Edition is a Japanese single malt from the Yamazaki distillery in Shimamoto, Osaka Prefecture, in a 75cl bottle. It belongs to the distillery's Rare Cask series. The whisky is matured exclusively in Mizunara casks, made from Japanese oak that takes around 200 years to grow to barrel-making size. The wood is porous and demanding to work, and it is known for incense, sandalwood and coconut character. The nose is led by incense, sandalwood and coconut. On the palate come clove, baking spice and a warm, woody sweetness, followed by a long finish with incense to the fore.
